Evgeny Kolyakov, MS, RGSI Coach.
Evgeny Koyakov is a physician and a lifelong student of fitness and health.
Prior to taking on Russian kettlebells in 2000, Evgeny Kolyakov was a successful power lifter and wrestler.
He started working out with Russian kettlebells in 2000 and got his MS one year later.
From 2001 on Evgeny Kolyakov has been competing in multiple regional, national and international competitions.
Among his achievements are medals won at 2005 World Championship and recently at the Championship of the Russian Federation in June 2012 where Evgeny Kolyakov placed in top three kettlebell lifters in the weight category of 105 kg.
Evgeny’s Kolyakov medical specialization is in orthopedic surgery and his knowledge of human body combined with his experience as competitive lifter helped him develop a scientific and thoughtful approach to learning and progressing with Russian kettlebells.
Evgeny’s Kolyakov personal bests with 32 kg Russian kettlebells in 10 minutes are:
Jerk – 123 reps;
Snatch – 195 reps (both hands);
Long Cycle – 66 times.
